Impact of RF I/Q Imbalance on Interference-Limited Mixed RF/FSO TWR Systems With Non-Zero Boresight Error

In this letter, we investigate a generic model assessing the effect of in-phase/quadrature-phase imbalance (IQI) on an asymmetric dual hop radio frequency/free space optical (RF/FSO) two-way relay (TWR) system in presence multiple co-channel interferers (CCIs) at relay. The fading RF and FSO links have been modeled using K-distribution double generalized Gamma (D-GG) turbulence model, respectively. impact non-zero boresight pointing error type demodulation schemes considered link. To end, closed-form probability density function (PDF) has derived for link undergoing D-GG irradiance with error. Furthermore, exact high signal-to-noise (SNR) asymptotic expression outage presented. gain insights into throughput system, approximate expressions achievable sum rate (ASR) derived. results show dependency reliability offered IQI front-end strength interference TWR system.
